I'm a bit of a late-comer to the Lush scene. The whole Lush rush completely passed me by but I'm here now! Walking into the store for the first time was a little overwhelming. I mean, you just wanna look, smell, touch, try everything. Luckily for me, I was snapped up quickly by a helpful sales assistant who took me through the while process.
There were so many different concoctions on offer, so to chose the best one for me the assistant asked me for my skin type. (A question I always dread because I end up babbling on like an idiot trying to make them understand the complex nature of my skin.) I concluded that the majority of my skin was combination and left it at that. *phew*
I was initially drawn to the Dark Angels Cleanser however I felt that the Herbalism Cleanser (pictured above) was going to suit my skin needs better.
You use it by taking a small amount and placing it in the palm of your hand, add a small amount of water and mix it into a paste then rub over your face (or body). The smell, as you can imagine, is beautifully herbal. You can really notice the Rosemary in the mixture also which I absolutely love! Even my fiancé commented on how nice it smelt. The mixture is also gently exfoliating because one of it's main ingredients is ground almond, which is a big thumbs up for me!
I usually have a lot of breakouts but since using Herbalism I have noticed that my skin seems fresher and more radiant and I'm definitely not getting as many spots. I think that the natural ingredients in the product is really helping to clear my skin up! Yay! Maybe I was just overdoing it with all the harsh chemicals in my previous products or maybe my skin knows that this product is vegan and cruelty free! Double yay!
Unlike some Lush products, you don't have to store this is the fridge however you do have to use it within 3 months because the ingredients are so fresh!
It is £6.40 per 100g pot which I think is pretty darn good.
Have you tried any Lush products? If so, what is your fave?
I've not tried a great deal of Lush skincare, I always tend to go for their bath stuff! This sounds lovely though. I'd definitely recommend the face masks, the cupcake one smells amazing! x

Love the sound of this! And handy that you don't need to keep it in the fridge as well, 3 months is easily long enough to get through it :) I bet it's a bit weird applying something that's so bright green though lol! x
ReplyDeleteLush is brilliant. Its a bit expensive on a budget but a nice treat. Come Christmas time you must try 'snow fairy' ... its lovely xx
ReplyDeleteI love using Lush! It really works for my skin. I actually use Dark Angels cleanser but most of the time I use Fresh Farmacy. Lush is a bit expensive but it's REALLY worth it!
